Cowboys vs Panthers

Cowboys vs Panthers: The Dallas Cowboys, led by quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott, meet the Carolina Panthers, led by quarterback Cam Newton, in a Week 1 NFL football game on Sunday, September 9, 2018 (9/9/18) at Bank of American Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Cowboys vs Panthers Live Oh yea,

The Carolina Panthers have a lot riding on this game, especially at the quarterback position. Sam Darnold is expected to get the start under center as he has been getting the bulk of the first-team reps in practice. However, Teddy Bridgewater is expected to play as well as his name is being thrown around in trade rumors.

The third preseason game is usually when we see the starters playing the majority of the first half. That means we could see the return of safety Marcus Maye and running back Isaiah Crowell, who are both coming off injuries. For Maye, it would be his first action in the preseason.

The biggest question mark heading into this game is the battle at tight end. The Carolina Panthers are having a hard time with this decision because not many options have been on the field. Neal Sterling and Clive Walford have played the best in the preseason.

The Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers continue preseason play on Saturday night with a matchup at MetLife Stadium.

The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. ET, and for fans in the New York area, the game will be broadcast on CBS. Fortunately, even if you don’t have cable or can’t get to a TV, you can watch a live stream of CBS (or DVR the game) on your computer, phone or streaming device by signing up for one of the following cable-free

Many believed that Carolina Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold would become a member of the Dallas Cowboys, so it was a bit of a surprise when he went to the Carolina Panthers instead. This adds an interesting dynamic to their first preseason pairing. “I’m excited. He’s a rookie, we feast on rookies sometimes,” said Dallas Cowboys safety Landon Collins. “It’s always an exciting game. To see him play, he’s going to have a fantastic career once he gets it going and I know he’s going to do a great job at the Carolina Panthers, but you’re playing against a good defense and we’re going to have fun with it.”

As far as the team rivalry is concerned, Dallas Cowboys head coach Pat Shurmur is not concerned. “I’ve heard a little bit [about the Dallas Cowboys-Carolina Panthers rivalry], but I’m also a guy who thinks you can root for the Yankees and then root for the Mets,” Shurmur told North Jersey.com. “But you know I’m a little off center. We’re going to go out and compete with the Carolina Panthers and try to do what we can to get our team right, and do what we can to try to win the game. That runs parallel, and I’ve heard there’s a little bit of a rivalry here, so we’ll deal with it.”

“I’ve got a lot of respect for [Carolina Panthers head coach] Todd Bowles,” he added. “I’ve got a lot of respect for what they are as an organization and I think we’re both going to play this game with the same thing in mind – get our team better, find out what our team is all about.”

The Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers preseason rivalry dates back to 1969, making it the longest preseason streak in NFL history. The Chargers and 49ers have the next-longest streak, but theirs began almost two decades after Dallas Cowboys and the Carolina Panthers.

That said, Bowles is more concerned with the progression of his team than the long-standing rivalry. “We’re not where we want to be right now,” he told Carolina Panthers.com. “But we’re not where we were when we started. So we’re just going to keep our heads down and keep grinding.”

Safety Jamal Adams tied for second among safeties in the NFL for tackles for loss after recording nine in his rookie season. Those nine TFLs ranked 2 him in the top five among all rookie defenders. LB Josh Martin is one of just three players in the last 10 seasons to register a season with 10 tackles for loss on defense and 10 total tackles on special teams. Since 2016, RB Bilal Powell has averaged 4.83 yards per carry, the third best average among running backs in the league with at least 200 carries. Since entering the league in 2014, LB Avery Williamson is just one of five players to register at least 10.0 sacks and 350 total tackles. Last season, CB Buster Skrine was one of just six defensive backs (one of 16 defensive players total) in the NFL to record a sack, forced fumble, fumble recovery and an interception. WR Robby Anderson’s seven touchdowns last season rank him tied for first with Tyreek Hill for most touchdowns among second-year players in the NFL. In 2016, WR Quincy Enunwa averaged 14.8 yards per reception, ranking him fourth among qualified third-year receivers behind Taylor Gabriel, Brandin Cooks and Kelvin Benjamin.

Virginia Tech experienced a successful season last year in Florida, but Hawkeye ended up severely after going ahead 2-3 and 1-4 against the spread of his last five games. Also, seminole ended with a series of four successive SU and ATS series.

Where can the smart money be when these teams open two sessions of College Football 2018 ACC at the Doctor Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida on Monday night?

Chiefs vs Falcons

Chiefs vs Falcons Live : The Falcons continue their 2018 preseason schedule this week when they host the Chiefs on Friday night. Here’s everything you need to know about where, when and how to watch the game.

The Falcons will play their first game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Friday night as they welcome the Kansas City Chiefs for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff on the second week of the 2018 preseason.

Chiefs vs Falcons Live

Atlanta dropped its preseason opener to the Jets in New Jersey, losing 17-0. Falcons head coach Dan Quinn wants to see crisper play from his team on Friday as he still continues to evaluate the players fighting for a spot on the 53-man roster.

Welcome to the second week of preseason, everyone! Tomorrow night will pit your Falcons, who you love and cherish and never ever get frustrated with, against the Kansas City Chiefs. KC has already said they’re playing their starters on offense for the full first half, and we’ll get to see if Dan Quinn gives in to the temptation to match that effort level, or does (what I think is) the smart thing and gets them out after a couple of series to evaluate the backups and young roster hopefuls.

We’ll be looking to see better from Duke Riley, who can erase a lot of doubt with a solid performance against the Chiefs’ first team offense. We’ll be looking to see whether Brandon Fusco can put a stranglehold on the right guard job, or whether Wes Schweitzer will be able to pull off the upset and stay in the battle. And we’ll be looking for clarification on what, exactly, is going to happen at returner, where I’m less certain than I am about any other position. Getting to play the Chiefs starters for a bit will be an excellent test for just about everyone.

You’ll need this essential information to watch the game tomorrow night with us, so bookmark this or screenshot it or write it in your notebook, whichever you prefer. We’ll see you here Friday night for the live discussion of the game.

Giants vs Lions

Giants vs Lions Live : The New York Giants will face the Detroit Lions led by Matthew Stafford, Darius Slay and Ziggy Ansah in Week 2 of the NFL preseason on Friday, August 17, at Ford Field in Detroit.

It also is a matchup of first-year head coaches who interviewed in January or each other’s jobs as well as the ones they eventually got: Matt Patricia of the Lions and Pat Shurmur of the Giants.

Giants vs Lions Live

The New York Giants will play their second preseason game against the Detroit Lions and this time they are on the road after hosting Preseason Week 1 at MetLife Stadium in a 20-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns. The two teams spent the past three days working together during joint practices in Detroit where the action was heated with plenty of reps that were as close to a real game as it gets.

There’s plenty to look forward to after a week of hard-hitting practice against one another in Allen Park. Both teams have been amongst the most newsworthy squads in the offseason, making some dramatic moves to capture the attention of the national media at various points, which makes this second preseason game for both sides downright intriguing to monitor.

Each team is coming off a disappointing result from last week, with the Lions losing a game on the road to the Oakland Raiders and the Giants dropping a home contest to the Cleveland Browns. Now, their resolve will be tested, as each side looks to rally off that frustration and show some will ahead of the new season. The preseason is only halfway over, but already, there’s been some interest on both sides to note. The Lions and Giants last met in the regular season last September, with Detroit scoring a crushing 24-10 win at Met Life Stadium.

This game is different as the Giants and Lions have already logged countless valuable reps after meeting up on Tuesday morning for the first of three joint practices in Detroit prior to the game, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see both teams opting to show more from a game-planning standpoint in both their offensive and defensive schemes. The status of Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) and Saquon Barkley (hamstring) has yet to be determined by head coach Pat Shurmur, but here’s all the information you’ll need to know about where you can watch, stream, listen and more to the Preseason Week 2 game between the Giants and Lions.

Bills vs Browns

Bills vs Browns Live : The Buffalo Bills have never been the featured team on the HBO show Hard Knocks, but they’re going to get plenty of air time in the third episode of this season which will debut early next week.

The cable giant is spending the summer in Berea, Ohio, as the Cleveland Browns, one of the worst teams in league history the past two years, try to change their story with the help of former Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor and Baker Mayfield, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 draft.

Bills vs Browns Live

So far, so good for the new-look Buffalo Bills offense under new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. The offense looks to build on the momentum from Week 1 when Buffalo travels to face the Cleveland Browns at 7:30 p.m. Friday at FirstEnergy Stadium in Week 2 of the preseason.

The Bills (0-1) are seeking their first win of the preseason, while the Cleveland Browns (1-0) look for their second straight preseason victory following a 20-10 win over the New York Giants in Week 1.

In their preseason debut during a 28-23 loss to the Carolina Panthers, the Bills got solid quarterback play from Nathan Peterman (9-of-10 passing for 119 yards with one touchdown and one interception), AJ McCarron (7-of-10 for 116 yards), and Josh Allen (9-of-19 for 119 yards and one TD).

All three QBs managed to move the sticks and put points on the board for the Bills, while Kelvin Benjamin (four receptions for 59 yards and one TD) showed why the Bills traded for him at last year’s trade deadline.

Defensively, rookies Harrison Phillips and Tremaine Edmunds enjoyed solid NFL debuts in Week 1, while Shaq Lawson, Eddie Yarbrough, and undrafted rookie free agent Mike Love continued to make an impression with their ability to create pressure on the quarterback.

Channel: The game is being carried nationally on the NFL Network, but the NFL Network broadcast is blacked out in the participating teams’ over-the-air station markets. The game will be carries locally on WKBW 7 in Buffalo, WROC 8 in Rochester, WSYR 9 in Syracuse, WBGH/WIVT 34 in Binghamton, WETM 18 in Elmira, WPNY 11/WFXV 33 in Utica, WTEN 10/WXXA 23 in Albany.

Dolphins vs Panthers

Dolphins vs Panthers Live : The Miami Dolphins’ 2018 preseason continues on Friday as the team heads north to visit the Carolina Panthers. The Dolphins are coming off a loss last week to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an entertaining game that featured some strong performances from some of the Dolphins players, but left some question marks still to be addressed before the regular season begins.

Dolphins vs Panthers Live

The Dolphins shook things up this week, including releasing defensive tackle Gabe Wright after a fight at practice and the addition of veteran defensive tackle, and former Dolphins player, Kendall Langford. The team is also believed to be in the market for a cornerback, especially if the shakeup to the depth chart made this week, with nickel cornerback Bobby McCain sliding outside and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick assuming the slot duties, does not see improvement from the position group against the Panthers.

The Dolphins will play their second preseason game on Friday night as they will travel to Charlotte to play the Panthers at Bank of America Stadium. Here’s what you need to know about how, when and where to watch.
Preseason Week 2

Miami Dolphins (0-1) at Carolina Panthers (1-0)
When

Thursday, Aug. 17, 7:30 pm ET

SERIES TREND: This will be the fifth time in the teams’ six preseason meetings the game will take place in the second full week of the preseason. The only exception was the first meeting in 2006, which took place in the third full preseason week.

HISTORY LESSON: The 2015 game at Carolina followed two days of joint practices at the Panthers’ training facility in Spartanburg, S.C. The preseason game was a high-scoring affair that came down to a failed two-point conversion attempt after quarterback Josh Freeman threw a 56-yard touchdown pass to tight end Gerell Robinson to bring the Dolphins to within one point with 2:13 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Cardinals vs Saints

Cardinals vs Saints Live : The New Orleans Saints will roll out the red carpet for the Arizona Cardinals on Friday night in their second preseason game, and their first home appearance in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The Saints last hosted the Cardinals in 2013, winning handily 31-7.

Cardinals vs Saints

New Orleans defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars last week off the efforts of backup quarterback Taysom Hill’s equalizer touchdown run, running back Jonathan Williams go-ahead score, and a stifling late-game pass rush. Jacksonville’s offensive line was just outmatched by the Saints’ reserves like pass rusher Jayrone Elliott (2.5 sacks, 1 QB hit) and defensive tackle Devaroe Lawrence (2 sacks, 3 QB hits).

Arizona presents a similarly soft offense. While they allowed just 2 sacks, their thinned-by-injuries offensive line ceded 9 QB hits on the night and Cardinals quarterbacks completed just 12 of 26 passes attempted. It looks to be a long night for whoever’s under center, even if rookie quarterback Josh Rosen will be better-protected by the first-string offensive line.

New Orleans head coach Sean Payton has been noncommittal on whether starting quarterback Drew Brees or first round draft pick Marcus Davenport will play, offering a terse “we’ll see” when asked at Wednesday’s media availability. Brees did not suit up until the third preseason game in 2017, and Davenport finally began to practice after being held out almost two weeks to nurse a pulled groin muscle.

The Saints preseason home opener will be televised on FOX 8 New Orleans and local affiliates throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and other parts of the Gulf South. As always, tune into WWL (870 AM/FM 105.3) for live coverage from Zach Strief on play-by-play and Deuce McAllister on analysis. Out-of-market fans can set their DVR for NFL Network’s time-delayed replay at 10:00 PM CDT on Friday night.
